Abstract

A survey of potential insect and disease pests of hemp was conducted at two farms in 2020. Twenty different potential insect pests and eight different diseases were observed at the two farms. None of the insect pests, however, reached levels high enough to cause an economic impact. Several of the diseases, including septoria, powdery mildew, fusarium, and botrytis, were of much greater concern in 2020 as compared to the insect pests and potentially did cause economic loss.
