Abstract

The hazards associated with the handling and application of toxic chemicals employed in insect control require that strict precautionary measures must be followed. It necessitates the use of appropriate safety equipment. The types of protective devices needed are dictated by the tox-icity of the given insecticide, its formulation, the method of application, and whether the treatment will be made in an open or enclosed area.
