Abstract

This paper explains the implementation of the metadata standards for the Global Performing Arts Database, a database of digital objects related to the performing arts worldwide. The paper discusses how the controlled vocabularies were developed, the existing metadata standards used, and how to read the GloPAD Application Profile, a version of which is attached to this record.
