Abstract

This package contains the code archive for the FPO Platform for India, a pioneering digital dashboard designed to optimize the visibility and manageability of Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) in India. As a first-of-its-kind platform, it serves as a Digital Public Good in the agri-tech space, offering comprehensive tools for data-driven decision-making and enhanced market accessibility. The platform aggregates and displays detailed financial and agricultural data across all registered FPOs, featuring an advanced filtering system with more than 10 variables, including geographic location, agricultural produce, services, financial performance, and membership type. Users can access contact details for verified FPOs and engage directly with them through the platform, facilitating open communication and cooperation. Additionally, the platform supports financial analysis at both the macro level of the FPO ecosystem and the micro level of individual FPOs. This groundbreaking work is detailed in our blog, 'https://tci.cornell.edu/?blog=building-indias-first-fpo-data-dashboard,' hosted by the Tata-Cornell Institute. This resource underscores the platform's utility and innovation in enhancing the operational efficiencies of FPOs, contributing significantly to India's agricultural sector by improving transparency and facilitating better market connections.
