Rolling Bone: News for staff, students and faculty at Cornell’s College of Veterinary Medicine (1996-2002)

At the suggestion of then Dean Franklin M. Loew, an in-house publication titled Rolling Bone was initiated in 1996. “The purpose of the newsletter is to help foster a better sense of community among those who work and study here. It always seems that bad news spreads quickly, but news about individual achievements, honors, volunteer activities, job changes, etc., travels much more slowly.” It was also intended to “serve as a vehicle for the dean and our departments/units to communicate general information to the college community.”
First produced in March 1996 by the Office of Communication Services with regular columns for Introductions, Transitions, Milestones, and Profiles, the Office of Public Affairs continued to compile issues with news from departments, events, and other announcements several times per year until March 2002.
