This is a translation into English by Bonnie G. MacDougall of the Uluwahu Paenima, an undated popular liturgal manual written in Sinhala and circulated as an inexpensive chapbook for popular consumption in Sri Lanka. The Uluwahu Paenima contains verses and invocations to be recited in crossing the threshold, an important South Asian dwelling consecration rite. The text is part of a genre of popular works on housebuilding composed in the modern languages of South Asia.en_US
