Canine muscular dystrophy is a rare, inherited disorder. Thus far, all of the mutations characterized in dogs with muscular dystrophy have been in the dystrophin gene. This paper presents a case of muscular dystrophy in a Cocker Spaniel. Preliminary studies suggest that her genetic defect is in one of the sarcoglycan genes.en_US
