The Electronic Quilting Bee is as an installation/event/game in which participants utilize wearable technology and traditional quilt-making techniques to create a giant physical quilt. Each participant creates a single square and integrates it into the quilt in such a way that it maintains a continuous circuit with adjacent squares. Participants are encouraged to integrate electronic devices, effects and behaviors into their quilt squares, as well as found objects or personal items they have brought with them. The quilt produced is not only a collaborative artwork but a social map and artifact of the event.en_US
