Abstract

This information bulletin discusses the direct effects of nutritional factors, including deficiencies and toxic excesses, on yield and quality of fruit, and the many interrelationships of nutrition with other components of the total orchard system. Helps producers analyze orchard nutritional status by correctly interpreting soil sample test results, analyzing leaves, and visually inspecting the orchard. Interpretation of findings into effective fertilization programs is discussed. Eighteen color photos show symptoms of deficiency or injury to trees, leaves, and fruit.
