Building UX Capacity: Presentation at LITA 2017, Denver, Colorado

Other Titles

Abstract

User experience has started to gain traction in many libraries. Though some institutions may not be able to set up a dedicated UX department, UX studies can still be conducted in various ways depending on the organizational structure. This panel includes three UX practitioners—the UX Librarian at Penn State University Libraries, the lead of the Usability Working Group at Cornell University Library, and the Digital Initiative Librarian at Montana State University Library. Panelists will discuss how UX is done at their institution, how they promote UX within the organization, and trends they see in how UX is evolving in their setting.
