Eurofound Yearbook 2014: Living and Working in Europe

Author
Eurofound
Abstract
[Excerpt] Eurofound’s work in 2014 reflected the concerns of a region still grappling with the consequences of the economic crisis. Europe’s economy grew modestly and unemployment edged downwards over the course of the year, evidence that the worst of the crisis had passed. Nevertheless, the failure of the recovery to gain momentum dampened confidence, and the social and economic disparities between Member States showed little sign of narrowing.
