Small Grains IPM Scouting Procedures

Author
Waldron, Keith; Cummings, Jaime; Wise, Ken
Abstract
A variety of pests and diseases can potentially attack small grains, including wheat, oats, rye and malting barley, during the growing season. The sequence in which these pests occur is generally predictable. A scouting calendar is included to help guide general scouting activities. For the development of a complete small grains management program, this reference should be used in conjunction with the Cornell Guide for Integrated Field Crop Management, and the Small Grains section of the fieldcrops.org website.
