Beef Farm Business Summary: Northeast Beef Farm Business Summary 1991

Other Titles

Abstract

The Beef Farm Business Summary is a compilation and analysis of business records from participating cow-calf farms. The primary objective of the summary is to provide producers with information about their beef farm business that can be used to identify "weak links" that limit profitability. To facilitate this evaluation, analysis is provided with six "critical success factor" categories

size of business, rates of production, cost control, capital efficiency, profitability and financial integrity. The farm summaries also provide the basis for continued extension education programs, data for applied research studies, and for use in the classroom. Regardless of the use of the data, confidentiality of individual farm data is maintained.
