Description
Many aspects of a dairy cow housing barn influence the overall environment experienced by the cows. One of the major aspects is the flooring system employed. Cows housed in modern freestall barns spend 10 to 12 hours per day on their feet. Floors also need to be designed and constructed so they are structurally sound. This will ensure that original floor characteristics will last for some time.
