Hemangiopericytoma in the dog

Author
Allen, Heather
Abstract
Hemangiopericytomas are a group of soft tissue sarcomas, which have a high rate of local recurrence with minimal metastatic potential. Treatment options for hemangiopericytomas include surgery and radiation, with a combined efficacy greater than either single modality. A case discussion of a timber wolf hybrid seen at Cornell University Hospital for Animals in August 2002 will provide a background in diagnostics and treatments used in managing hemangiopericytoma.
