Abstract
This fact sheet described the scientific evidence of whether the mycotoxin ochratoxin-A (OTA) affects the risk of breast cancer and other cancers. OTA is a toxin produced by certain molds found in stored grains and a variety of other food products. This fact sheet provides a summary of the studies that have evaluated its cancer risk, gives examples of where OTA is found in food and beverages, which countries have found OTA in their food, agencies that have set limits in food, and current research needs.
