An adult male pet woodchuck with a history of maxillary incisor malocclusion and extraction presented to the Cornell University Hospital for Animals Exotics Service for a three week history of respiratory distress, bilateral nasal discharge, and anorexia, and for evaluation of a nasal mass seen on radiographs. A CT scan showed incompletely extracted maxillary incisors. The left was dorsally displaced into the nasal passages and the root curved downward, penetrating the hard palate. A mass-like lesion at the base of the right incisor occluded the nasopharynx. A transoral approach was used to extract the maxillary incisors and associated mass. The patient recovered well from surgery.
