Abstract

Explains how various weed management systems affect fruit crops, soils, and groundwater. The advantages and disadvantages of various methods for managing weed competition are described. Action thresholds and other weed integrated pest management (IPM) strategies are covered. Mulches and other non-chemical weed controls, timing of control applications, ground cover management systems, and herbicide applicators are included. Color photographs show detail.
