The Records of the Albany Commissioner of Indian Affairs, 1678-1755
Author
Commission for Indian Affairs (Albany, N.Y.)
Description
Published in Albany, NY from 1677-1714
The original order of these documnets has been disturbed since their creation. At some unknown time there were arranged into the present order, placed within two separate files, and consecutive page numbers stamped on the entire series of documents. This imposed arrangemnet and pagination does not always respect the logical continuity of the text.
In order to avoid adding to this confusion by imposing yet another arrangement on the records, they have been microfilmed in the order of the consecutive stamped page numbers and as two separate files: File 1 (pp.28149-28444) and File 2 (pp.28445-28975).
Handwritten copy. Provides synopsis of the contents of the first two books (presumed lost) of the Minutes of the Commission of Indian Affairs in Albany. These documents are derived from microfilm of the handwritten pages that were converted to JPEG images. The quality of the images varies. A link to the transcripts is listed below.
