Abstract

Joyous Decay is an interdisciplinary approach to weird temporalities. Objects, arrangements, photographs, sounds, and spaces are gathered and manifested to be considered through non-progressive time and to unseat ontological situatedness. Time, sound, and material are approached and imagined in messy knots, weaves, circles, and folds to question and challenge anthropocentric, capitalist, and linear chronologies.
