CTHEORY Multimedia - Preservation Version

CTHEORY Multimedia was an online journal of net art curated by Arthur and Marilouise Kroker and Timothy Murray. Its conceptual editions of net art and digital architechtonics addressed and reflected on global themes of critical imperative to the digital age. The online version was produced by the Cornell University Library Electronic Publishing Program. This item represents a preservation copy of the files comprising the four issues of CTHEORY Multimedia from its server as of December, 2020.

Description

ctheorymultimedia.zip includes files from the CTHEORY Multimedia server as of December, 2020. File types include: markup (HTML, XML, SGML, CSS), audiovisual (QuickTime, mp3, Midi, RealMedia), proprietary (Flash, Macromedia Director), code (Php, Perl, Javascript), images (gif, jpg, ico, bmp, png), documents (pdf, plain text), and system files from older Apple filesystems (e.g., AppleDouble). A list of excluded files can be found in deleted.txt. A list of original symlinks on the webserver can be found in symlinks.txt. A list of calculated sha1 values for each file in the zip archive can be found in manifest.txt. A list of pieces and artists per issue can be found in piecesArtists.txt. The data in this project was live online from 2001-2024.
