This dissertation examines how economic policy changes and extreme weather events influence gender and development outcomes. It focuses on the impacts on different population groups, especially women, and underscore the need for gender-specific outcomes in policy-making and fair resource distribution to support resilient communities. The essays combine publicly available datasets with quasi-experimental techniques for causal inference.
