Abstract

This protocol provides instructions for performing microplate enzyme activity assays to determine metabolic mechanisms of insecticide resistance in adult mosquitoes. The protocol was adapted from the Methods in Anopheles Research laboratory manual and includes instructions to perform sample preparation, nonspecific esterase assays, oxidase assays, and analysis of results.
