Abstract

Value, as a measure ohvorth and significance, extends beyond rigid definitions and fixed parameters. It is a dynamic concept shaped by individual perspectives and the collective consciousness of society. In the context of architecture, the assigned value should not remain stagnant; rather, it should be an ongoing process that considers and responds to the needs of both humans and the broader environment. This book delves into the exploration of architectural methodologies that critique and pursue approaches centered on the continuity of value. It seeks to challenge existing paradigms and promote design justice by examining how value can influence social, economic, environmental, and empathic aspects throughout the lifespan of architectural projects. By foregrounding the notion of continuity of value, the book recognizes the transformative power of architecture. It explores how the profession can contribute to positive social change, economic prosperity, environmental sustainability, and the fostering of empathy among diverse communities.
