Abstract

This research provides insights on how on-farm experimentation (OFE) can support crop diversification by the production of actionable knowledge -in other words, knowledge that can be used by farmers to re-design their cropping systems. It emphasizes the importance of the implementation phase, a key part of the design process that to date has been given little consideration.
