Abstract

An 8-year-old male castrated Doberman Pinscher was presented to the Cornell University Hospital for Animals Dentistry and Oral Surgery Service for evaluation of an oral mass emerging from the left maxilla. This case report will discuss the clinical presentation of common types of oral masses, as well as diagnostic tests, treatment options and prognosis of oral fibrosarcomas in canine patients. It also highlights the importance of histopathologic evaluation of an oral mass prior to surgical excision.
