Abstract

In this thesis, I analyze two very different categories of Markov chains. In the first chapter, I will look at asymmetric random walks on discrete groups and show some new results and generalizations of old results on symmetric random walks. In the second chapter, I examine infinite random power towers, and show some generalizations of known results for deterministic power towers.
