Abstract

A glass ear plug and a fragment of a core-formed vessel were found in Phase 10 of the 12th c. BCE in Area G at Tel Dor. During this period the area was used for the resmelting of copper/bronze objects. The Iron Age I is something of a Dark Age for information on glass tecnhology in the eastern Mediterranean and ancient Near East, so the Dor pieces are a welcome addition to the small corpus. Unforutnately they were so weathered that it was not possible to determine possible points of origin with any precision.
