Abstract

Summer 2001 Sweatshop Watch Newsletter covering the grand opening of the Garment Worker Center in Los Angeles, the formation of an independent union by the Kuk Dong factory workers in Mexico, the victory for workers on strike at Hollander Home Fashions, the actions of unions and human rights groups against Burmese sweatshop items, the International Workers Day march in Los Angeles to support immigrant rights, and the chance for justice for sweatshop workers who labored in American Samoa.
