Abstract

The 1979 Southeastern New York dairy farm business summary includes 20 farms from Sullivan County, 14 from Orange County and 4 Ulster County dairy farms for a total of 38 farms. The Cooperative Extension Association of Middletown, sponsor this farm business management project and cooperate with the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Cornell, where the records are summarized. The primary purpose of this project is to assist cooperations in farm record keeping and business analysis and thereby improve their skills as managers. This report is prepared in workbook form for use in the systematic study of individual farm business operations. The data in the following table gives a view of teh characteristics of farms participating in the Southeastern New York farm management program
