Description
A winner of the Knight Award for Writing Exercises and Handouts, this work originates from Government 100, Power and Politics: Globalization in the Twenty-First Century-Progress, Promise, and Problems. The in-class activity is designed to encourage students to find and use evidence to support their claims, as a jumping-off point for discussion of what constitutes evidence and how we judge different types of evidence. The exercise is also designed to encourage students to revise their arguments and theses in light of conflicting evidence. 3 page pdf
