Abstract

The principal purpose of this guide is to assist researchers in locating information about the food industry. Certain basic references to general business information are also included. The food industry is often defined broadly to encompass operations from farm to table. In this guide, however, the focus is somewhat narrower: emphasis is given primarily to food industry activity at manufacturer-distributorconsumer levels.
