Abstract
ntellectual property protection in the U.S., especially for agricultural biotechnology, is quite extensive. Its shortcomings are not principally responsible for slow commercialization of these products. Intellectual property legislation is evolving even though there are several areas where a better balance between private incentive and public wellbeing must be achieved.
