Abstract

For better or worse, the web has become an integral part of our lives. As a central repository for information, the web can greatly enrich institutions that have limited resources at their disposal. The good news is that the size of the web is estimated at three-billion documents. That is also the bad news. The sheer size of the monster gives one pause. How can one possibly find relevant information in the morass? More importantly, how can one evaluate the information found? Help is readily available.
