Abstract

In June 2015, the Cornell Ambulatory Service evaluated two East Friesian ewes from a small commercial dairy sheep flock for upper respiratory signs. The flock had a recent history of three other animals with upper respiratory signs, one of which was diagnosed with nasal adenocarcinoma following a complete necropsy with histopathology. Since options for ante-mortem testing of enzootic nasal tumor virus have limited value, one of the sick ewes was euthanized and post-mortem necropsy, histopathology and immunohistochemistry confirmed the diagnosis of enzootic nasal tumor.
