Abstract

Both the Library and its staff benefit when the staff’s expertise is shared with others through publication. But how can potential authors manage their copyrights to maximize the benefits that arise from appearing in print? In this presentation, Peter Hirtle will give an overview of rights management issues in professional publishing and will identify options open to authors. Dianne Dietrich will recount her recent experience of publishing an article and the lessons she learned.
