Can you get there from here? Speed bumps in the road to health and environmental biotech applications
Author
Michael, Rodemeyer
Abstract
Can plant biotechnology be harnessed to provide benefits outside of the area of food and feed? Can the kind of global deadlock that has emerged from the introduction of genetically modified (GM) crops and food be avoided? Is the opposition to the use of plant biotechnology limited to its use in food? Can the potential health and environmental benefits of the next generation of plant biotechnology change the contours of the global debate?
