Abstract

The purpose of this publication is to provide a profile of the work force on dairy farms with more than 100 cows in New York and Wisconsin for: 1) Researchers in HRM for agricultural enterprises and other small businesses

  1. Cooperative Extension staff, agricultural business consultants and other educators involved in the agricultural community
  1. Owners and/or managers ofboth family and non-family owned farms or small businesses. This information is critical for development of effective research and education programs. Farm owners and managers can use this information in the recruitment and selection of new employees and in the development of more effective compensation programs. This publication does not provide any statistical analysis nor does it imply any causality.
