Abstract

This fact sheet describes the scientific evidence of whether the herbicide 2, 4-D affects the risk of breast cancer and other cancers. This includes information on past and current use of 2,4-D for weed control, how federal agencies regulate this pesticide, who may be exposed, a summary of the studies that have evaluated its cancer risk, where more research is needed, and how to minimize exposure to 2,4-D.
