A 6-month-old male castrated Pygmy goat presented to the Cornell University Large Animal Hospital with obstructive urolithiasis. A urethral process amputation and tube cystoscopy had been performed, with removal of the tube 4 days prior to presentation. The day following presentation, urethral rupture was diagnosed and an antepubic urethrostomy was performed. Six months following the surgery the goat remained continent and in good health. Antepubic urethrostomy may be a useful therapeutic option in the management of small ruminants with obstructive urolithiasis.
