Abstract

[Excerpt] This chapter explores the major strategic responsibilities that you must assume when serving as a business unit manager. After reading this chapter, you will be able to evaluate and develop an overall direction for your organization, deploy strategic tools to conduct an ongoing analysis of the changing business situation, select a competitive strategy, and understand the resource capabilities needed to build a competitive advantage.
