CVM Honor Day Awards (1936-present)
Permanent URI for this collection
First observed in June, 1936, the College of Veterinary Medicine hosts an Honor Day for presentation of student awards to recognize meritorious students for academic and other achievements each spring. In addition to a banquet, exercises are held and prizes are awarded to fourth-year and other students as well as some faculty and staff. This ceremony is organized by the Office of Student and Academic Services.
Since 2008, several of the most prestigious prizes given to fourth-year students are awarded at the senior class Hooding Ceremony during Commencement. This includes the Horace K. White Prize, probably the University’s longest-standing prize dating from 1873.
