The Library is a big business unit of the University. Data are collected on how the Library conducts its everyday business as reflected in its services, collections, facilities, staffing, expenditures, etc. In this collection, readers can find data sets the Library reports through internal publications to its staff and stakeholders (e.g., the CUL Annual Statistics, the CUL Fact Sheet, and data for the University Librarian's Annual Report). Much of this data is also reported to other Cornell offices and to external agencies for non-Library publications (e.g., CUL data for Cornell's entry in U.S. News and World Report's America's Best Colleges, and CUL responses to the Association of Research Libraries' surveys). These data are collected on an annual basis. Measures or definitions may vary due to reporting requirement changes. Versions are posted here as soon as they are available for use.
