Efraim Racker

Permanent URI for this collection

Explore the life of scientist and artist Efraim Racker, Cornell University's first Albert Einstein Professor of Biochemistry 1966-91. He spent a long and gratifying life experimenting with science and art.

A website was launched in 2013 (now decommissioned), the centennial year of his birth, as a mechanism to present Racker as a scientist and an artist. Conceptually, the website worked to show the connection between his two identities. The content of the website has been captured and collected in eCommons as of 2025. This includes Efraim Racker's history, his scholarship, his art albums, and an annual lecture series that honors Racker, sponsored by the Cornell University Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics.

See also the archival copy of the original website for this collection. Please use the eCommons collection to access the content.
