| dc.description.abstract | The aim of this report, The Democratic Republic of Congo Cobalt Supply Chain Mapping Report: Labor Rights Traceability in Context, is to help government, industry and civil society stakeholders identify and reduce child labor, forced labor and other exploitative practices in their supply chains through traceability in coordination with other due diligence approaches. The goal is not to simply declare there is no child or forced labor in the supply chain; rather, it is to help demonstrate compliance through a trustworthy process with valid and reliable data. To that end, this Report provides an explanation of the country and industry context and a mapping of the cobalt supply chain from its source in the DRC to the international market, along with an analysis of its child labor and forced labor risks. | |
