The 2011 movie Water for Elephants turned the veterinarian played by Robert Pattinson into the darling of all animal doctors. The REAL Cornell Class of 1931 was just as interesting and contributed to the veterinary profession in a multitude of ways. The stories of Dr. Lawrence T. Waitz and Dr. Elmer A. Woelffer are presented.
