Ultimately, the success of an institutional repository is dependent on faculty and researchers depositing their materials into it. Using a work practice study methodology and the guidance of a trained anthropologist, Susan Gibbons and others at the University of Rochester, River Campus Libraries undertook an investigation of how an institutional repository may or may not fit into the existing work practices of faculty in different disciplines. Ms. Gibbons shared those findings and suggested ways that an institutional repository can be better aligned with faculty expectations and practices.en_US
