I treated a small piece of corduroy cloth with permethrin and let it dry. In the field, the treated cloth was placed on top, at the center, of a bigger untreated cloth. And, the CO2 reservoir was placed on the treated cloth. As visible in the video, H. longicornis that walked on permethrin treated cloth, in pursuit to reach the CO2 reservoir, appeared affected- they became lethargic and seemed disorientated.
