Participants were either employees of Company X or Company Y or recruited through the use of email or social media sites. This study was conducted entirely through the use of online surveys. Correlations and regression models were used to study the main and interactive effects of workplace mobility on workplace attachment. Results of this study suggest that the relationship between mobility and attachment differs in relation to an individual's age. It was found that mobility detracts from place attachment for older workers but does the opposite for younger workers. These findings help add to the knowledge base concerning the relationship between mobility and attachment and have implications for designers, managers, and employees in terms of the physical and organizational design of workplaces and the activities that occur within them.en-USmobilityplace attachmentwork environmentdissertation or thesis
