Exhibiting Domesticity: Modernism and Reform in the American Kitchen at Mid-Century

Barton, Juliana2018-07-312018-07-312018-03-14https://hdl.handle.net/1813/57593Juliana Rowen Barton, the 2017 Dean's Fellowship recipient in the History of Home Economics in the College of Human Ecology, examines the kitchen as the site of domestic debates about modernism, technology, taste, and identity in the mid-twentieth century. Ms. Barton is a Ph.D. candidate in the History of Art at the University of Pennsylvania, specializing in modern architecture and design. Her work has received support from the Center for Advanced Study in the Visual Arts and the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. As the Andrew W.
